SUMMARY:2015 Walk Like MADD Central Florida
DESCRIPTION:Mothers Against Drunk Driving of Central Florida will be holding our 4th annual Walk Like MADD 5K. Our fundraising efforts support our programs\, some of which include:\n\nPower of Youth - a program that engages teens and college students in spreading awareness about the dangers of underage drinking. We offer school presentations on the prevention of underage drinking. We also have volunteer opportunities for youth.\n\nPower of Parents - a program to help parents talk with their teens about alcohol and prevent underage drinking and other alcohol-related consequences by providing tips and tools for effective two-way parent-teen communications.\n\nVictim Impact Panels - classes for convicted DWI offenders. The hope is that these offenders will come to understand the horrible outcome of impaired driving and will not become repeat offenders.\n\nVictim Services - many victims of impaired driving crashes have had their lives turned upside down and they often need support. That is why MADD offers free direct victim services to those dealing with the aftermath of a crash.
