His primary vehicle for doing this has been his work for more than 25 years in college athletics and\, primarily\, football. Alan is the Executive Director of the Orlando Sports Foundation\, whose goal is to bring a new and different college football bowl game experience to the Citrus Bowl in Orlando\, Florida. Additionally\, the bowl's goal is to create awareness and an additional financial resource for breast cancer research. He went on to spend 22 seasons as a member of the coaching staff. He started his coaching career in 1983 as a graduate assistant\, quickly moving through the ranks and becoming UCF's recruiting coordinator. He was named assistant head coach in 1998 and took over as interim head coach at the end of 2003 season. Upon leaving coaching in 2004\, Gooch accepted a position as the executive director of the UCF Athletic Association's Golden Knights  Club. In 2005 after 25 years of service to the university\, he left UCF and entered into private business opening Florida operations for an Atlanta commercial real estate firm. In 2007\, Gooch opened  his own commercial real estate firm\, Tizon Commercial\, LLC. Gooch was inducted into the UCF Athletics Hall of Fame in 2006. The following year he was named educator of the decade by the UCF College of Education. Gooch\, who received his bachelor's and master's degrees at UCF\, continues as the managing partner and broker of Tizon Commercial and is an adjunct professor at UCF\, teaching coaching methods. \n\n \n\nCoffee Club NONA\, presented by The Lake Nona Area Council\, meets the second and fourth Thursday of the month at the UF Academic and Research Center located in Lake Nona's Medical City.\n\n \n\nWe strive to provide you with quality events that help you join\, connect\, and grow your business. This group's focus is to provide you with open networking activities the 2nd Thursday and fantastic speakers on the 4th Thursday of the month. Check the calendar for more specific information!\n\n \n\nThis event is FREE and open to everyone. Coffee is provided by Panera Bread.\n\n\n\nThe Lake Nona Area Council is a joint group consisting of the East Orlando Chamber of Commerce and the St. Cloud Greater Osceola Chamber of Commerce. It is the goal of this group to bring together business representatives to discuss topics and information that affect both areas at the monthly Coffee Club Nona. \n\n\n\nThe purpose of The Lake Nona Area Council is to generate strong ties with our neighboring chamber to promote and facilitate local business growth into other potential markets and communities.
