DESCRIPTION:The Cystic Fibrosis Pharmacy of Orlando\, FL is excited to co-host the 2014 Cystic Fibrosis Education Day on November 1\, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. This event will be held at Leu Gardens\, 1920 N. Forest Ave. Orlando\, FL 32803.\n\n\n\nThe other notable participants include the Arnold Palmer Children's Hospital\, Central Florida Pulmonary Group and Nemours Children's Hospital. Family members and caregivers of Cystic Fibrosis patients\, clinicians\, medical personnel\, and insurance company representatives are encouraged to participate in this educational event\, filled with esteemed speakers bringing us the latest information from the North American CF Conference just held in Atlanta. In addition\, a wealth of exhibitors will provide educational materials and speak one-on-one with event participants. A complimentary lunch will be served.\n\n\n\nThe event will also be broadcast live to enable Cystic Fibrosis patients across the state to participate in the event via an interactive webcast.\n\n* Due to infection control\, C.F. patients will participate solely through the webcast. \n\n\n\nThe keynote speaker\, Andy Lipman is an author\, founder of the Wish for Wendy Foundation and a national advocate for finding a cure for CF. Other featured speakers and event co-hosts include Dr. Daniel Layish\, co-director of the Adult CF Center at the Central Florida Pulmonary Group in Orlando\, Dr. Mark Weatherly\, pediatric specialist at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children in Orlando\, Bruce Brown\, respiratory therapist with Nemours Children?s Hospital's CF Center and Candace Chemtob\, dietician with the Central Florida Pulmonary Group. Other highlighted speakers include Development Director Paul Gloersen with the CF Foundation and Pharmacy Manager Shawn Kalhor\, PharmD with the Cystic Fibrosis and Freedom Pharmacies.\n\n\n\n* Reservations are required for this event and to participate in the webcast.
