The Cloud Family Foundation, Inc (CFF-Inc) is a 501c3 organization based in Orlando, Florida. The foundation was established in 2019 and is made up of three directors that are the grandchildren of the late Dorothy and James Cloud, Sr. Our focus is on Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) related activities and scholarships. CFF-Inc was established to create opportunities for all students with a keen focus on those in underserved and underprivileged and communities.
In 2021, CFF-Inc awarded (3) one thousand dollar scholarships to minority students. These scholarships were awarded to students both at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) and Predominately White Institutions (PWI), and the students were at various levels of their collegiate careers. In 2022, CFF-Inc will distribute five thousand dollars in scholarships to include scholarships to graduating high school seniors. CFF-Inc has a formal application process, and all applications are reviewed independently.
CFF-Inc has several cornerstone events. These events geared towards both collecting donations and student development. CFF-Inc conducts many fundraising events, but the primary fundraising event is the Annual Ruby G. Goodrich 5k race. In addition to the fundraising events, CFF-Inc conducts the CFF Livestream (CFF Live) geared towards training and development, The Sandra Cloud and Cheryle Mitchell-Hill K12 Grant Program, and new for 2022, the Melvin L. Cloud Engineering Design Challenge (for High School Teams).
